FAQs

How can I purchase tickets to shows?

Most shows are pre-sold through the MEMO Music Hall website www.memomusichall.com.au. Tickets can be printed at time of purchase and should be taken to the show to be checked at the door, or displayed on mobile phones at the door. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on the day/night of the show (if still available).

Can I refund/exchange my Tickets?

We ask that you carefully choose the show (and day/night) you are booking tickets for as there are no refunds or ticket exchanges available once payment has been made unless a show is postponed or cancelled. Full ticketing terms and conditions can be found here.

Can I refund/exchange my tickets because I am scared of getting covid?

Unfortunately we are not in a position to refund people because of their choice not to come. MEMO follows all Covid protocols to the letter, and are confident that we provide a very safe environment for audiences.

What are the bookings fees for ticketing?

For live show events, booking fees are charged by our ticketing provider to cover admin costs and are not refundable. The current charge is 0.50c per ticket.  Merchant fees are usually charged to the ticket buyer at 2.5% per ticket.

Are shows at MEMO Music Hall seated or standing?

Most performances will have a seating allocation (usually reserved by prior booking) as well as a general admission (standing/dancing) component. However there are occasionally some shows that are standing only or fully seated.

How can I reserve a seat?

For performances where there is a reserved seating component you can book online through the MEMO website. The allocation of tables will automatically be in order of booking date within the seating allocation i.e. those that book first will get tables closest to the stage. On arrival at the venue you will be allocated a table number when you present your ticket at the door.

Can I combine my table booking with another party who had made a separate booking?

In most instances this is quite possible, but not guaranteed. Please email info@memomusichall.com.au with your request as early as possible prior to the day of the show and we will respond to your email to confirm that we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note, if we haven’t responded to your request, it may mean we have not received your email.

What are the normal show running times?

For most evening shows doors open at 7:30pm where a guest artist will be on stage at around 8pm and headline artist on stage around 8:45pm. For Sunday afternoon shows doors usually open at 3:30pm and music generally commences at 4:00pm. Please check the website for scheduled playing times for each show as times can vary depending upon the individual artists and the number of performers on the bill.

How do I get to the venue?

The MEMO Music Hall is located behind the St Kilda RSL in Acland Street, St Kilda. Directions to the venue and public transport options are located here.

Can I park near the venue?

There is ample parking space around the Acland Street and surrounds with over 250 designated car spaces within walking distance to the venue. Parking around St Kilda is usually ticketed.

Can under age patrons attend shows?

People under the age of 18 years are allowed to attend shows at MEMO as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult and will require a valid ticket.

Is there a dress code at the venue?

There is no strict dress code at MEMO, however we do ask that you take some care in your presentation.

Can I bring recording devices like audio, tape, camera or film into the MEMO Music Hall?

No, you cannot record an artist’s performance. You would require permission from the artist and the venue as per the Copyright Act, as the performance is “owned” by the artist. The final authority to allow or not allow such recording devices on the night rests with the artists performing and not the venue.

Does the venue have wheelchair access and disabled toilets?

Yes, the main Albert Street entrance has no steps into the venue from the footpath. Disabled toilets are close to, and easily accessible from the MEMO Music Hall.

I have an event this room would be perfect for, am I able to hire it for a day or an evening?

Yes, the venue is available for hire during the day and evenings.  Please email venuehire@memomusichall.com.au for more information.

Are there other ways I can buy my ticket other than directly online?

We encourage patrons to purchase their tickets online, as it is quick and easy, however in some circumstances where this may not be possible, patrons can organise a time to come into the venue and pay by cash, or by credit, or by credit over the phone.  This may incurr an additional overall five dollar service fee.
