Bruce Butler hosts this very special event to launch the release of the new book on the life of INXS lead singer Michael Hutchence as seen through the eyes of his sister, Tina Hutchence.

Tina gives us the story of her life with Michael through these wild, wonderful and evenutally tragic days as the lead singer of INXS.

Local rock god from THE MODELS, SEAN KELLY, and the wonderful ROSIE WESTBROOK are supporting Jen and Tina with some very special renditions of Michael’s most memorable songs with INXS and Max Q.

He died at only 37 but still has fans in the millions. INXS singer/songwriter Michael Hutchence was the celebrated frontman of one of the biggest bands in the world. Like many people, his big sister, Tina, was fascinated by him from the moment she met him and they remained close right up until he died. From the team effort to get INXS off the ground to Christmases with Helena Christensen, Tina was there through it all.

From her memories of her brother as a shy teenage boy with a lisp, to the head injury that changed everything for Michael, to his bliss at the birth of his only child, Tina’s personal and heartfelt biography reveals the true stories behind the incredible rollercoaster life of Australia’s most enduring rockstar and recollections of an adored brother and son. Rich in INXS history and previously untold memories from key people close to Michael, this is the complete biography Australia’s been waiting for.

‘Lost boy Michael, who was my dear friend, and who is very much missed. All respect and thanks to Tina for sharing these stories and keeping the memory alive.’ – Simon le Bon, Duran Duran
