Stylus one of the most unique bands ever to come out of Australia, formed in 1974, Stylus quickly came to prominence with its original sound and style, becoming the first all white band to record for the famous Tamla Motown the worlds premier black label.

In the 70’s Stylus toured extensively through out Australia and recorded 4 albums in 4 years. Stylus never broke up and the members always remained good friends. In the early 2000″s thousands, Stylus released a best of and went back on the road briefly to promote the album, performing on ‘Hey Hey’ and the Steve Vizard show. during the 2000’s a Japanese company re released the Stylus catalogue re mastered on CD. In 2010, the Japanese company Vivid wanted a new Stylus album, so they recorded ‘Across Time’ which was never released in Oz.

With the passing of Ashley Henderson, the band asked American born bass player/singer Doug Williams to join, the band has taken on a new lease of life with Doug and Gerry Pantazis in the band, along with 3 original members Peter Cupples, Ron Peers and Sam McNally. 50 years on and Stylus is still a creative force in the Australian music industry.
